Jesper Thiesen

Founder, conpowr · Meteorologist · Energy trader

I've spent two decades at the intersection of meteorology and energy markets. In 2008 I founded ConWX — a weather and energy forecasting company serving utilities, traders, and wind farm developers across Europe. I was responsible for the vast majority of all sales and client relationships. After a successful exit in 2021, I now combine consulting with active involvement in European power trading.

My background in NWP ensemble modeling, combined with daily exposure to EEX and Nord Pool markets, means I understand weather risk from both the science and the business side.
